'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently two years through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden significant achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
